Hei Pottery – Studio Policies
Before participating in any classes or activities at Hei Pottery, please review the following policies carefully. By enrolling in our programs or using our studio, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these terms.
Pricing
All listed prices exclude HST. Applicable taxes will be added at checkout.
Payments, Refunds & Rescheduling

Full payment is required at the time of registration to confirm your spot in any class, workshop, or membership.

Hei Pottery does not provide refunds.

If you need to reschedule, please notify us at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled class start. Requests within 72 hours cannot be accommodated. However, you may transfer your booking to another person.

For multi-class sessions, we are unable to offer make-up classes.

Our cancellation policy ensures smooth operation and fair access for all participants. We appreciate your understanding.
Kiln Firing Disclaimer
At Hei Pottery, we strive for high-quality results in every kiln firing. However, due to the unpredictable nature of ceramics, including glaze reactions and firing variables, we cannot guarantee the final outcome of your work. By using our services, you agree not to hold Hei Pottery, its staff, or volunteers responsible for any loss or damage to your pieces during any stage of the process.
Health & Safety

Pottery work involves tools, equipment, and materials that require care and attention. Please follow all instructions provided by our instructors.

Dress appropriately: tie back long hair, avoid loose-fitting jewelry, and wear clothing suitable for a hands-on studio environment.
Reservations & Cancellations

Spots are limited. Your space is only secured once payment is received.

No-shows without prior communication will result in forfeiture of the class fee.

Hei Pottery reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment or unforeseen events. In such cases, we will notify you via email, text, or phone, with a minimum of 24 hours’ notice when possible.
Liability Waiver

Participation in pottery activities involves some risk. Hei Pottery is not liable for any injuries, accidents, or damages incurred while in the studio.

By registering, participants release Hei Pottery and its staff from any and all claims related to participation.

If you have health concerns, allergies, or physical limitations, please inform our staff in advance.
Behavioral Expectations
All individuals must behave respectfully and professionally. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior toward staff or fellow participants is grounds for removal from the studio.
Photography & Privacy

Hei Pottery may take photos or videos during classes for promotional use. Participation implies consent for your image to be used.

Your personal information is protected and will not be shared with outside parties. If you prefer not to appear in photos, please inform us before your session.
Policy Updates

Hei Pottery reserves the right to update policies, schedules, and offerings. Participants will be notified in the event of any significant changes.
Studio Conduct

All participants are expected to follow studio guidelines and the directions of Hei Pottery instructors.

Treat the studio, equipment, and shared spaces with care. Any intentional misuse may result in repair or replacement fees.

We foster a welcoming and inclusive environment. Disrespectful or discriminatory behavior will not be tolerated.
