Why not make your own set! In this thoughtful, hands-on 4-week class, you’ll create a matcha bowl (chawan) and whisk stand (chasen-tate) from scratch—designed by you, for your own daily ritual. You’ll learn how to shape a bowl that feels just right in the hands, perfect for whisking and sipping. Then, you’ll make a custom whisk stand to help your chasen dry properly and display beautifully. Choose your form, explore glazes, and make a matching set that’s uniquely yours. This course is great for potters who are comfortable with basic techniques and ready to focus on purposeful design and functional detail. By the end, you’ll have a beautiful and meaningful set to use, gift, or cherish.
